Bamidele ''Buhari can’t be blackmailed ''

Image
Speaking in Ado Ekiti yesterday, Mr Opeyemi Bamidele  said the two Jeeps donated to President Buhari after Boko Haram attacked his motorcade in Kaduna by the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan should not be used to rubbish the fight against corruption and the prosecution of those that allegedly looted the nation. Bamidele insisted that President Buhari cannot be blackmailed, and would ever remain undaunted in the fight against corruption. Bamidele, said the PDP's attempt to halt the trial of those fingered in the multi-billion naira arms deal, had further exposed the PDP as a party that is inherently corrupt. He commended the president for coming out boldly to challenge whoever claimed that he received cash gift from former president Jonathan to make it public, saying the cars presented to President Buhari was his statutory entitlements as a former Head of State.

Charges filed after missing sisters discovered

Image
The owners of a Minnesota horse ranch, where last month police discovered two sisters who had vanished in 2013, are now facing charges and possible prison time, in the latest turn in a bizarre case involving the missing teenage girls who have said they were hiding from an abusive father. The prosecuting attorney in Dakota County, Minnesota, charged ranch owners Gina and Douglas Dahlen on December 11 with deprivation of custodial rights for their involvement in the disappearance of teenage sisters Samantha and Gianna Rucki. An acquaintance of the couple, Dede Evavold, is facing the same charges. “This is a very sad case that just shows how nasty divorce can be,” says Detective Jim Dronen of the Lakeville, Minnesota, police, who has been on the case since 2014. “When you have people that are just working so hard to win, it can just make things really, really nasty and there’s really no winners.” Samantha and Gianna Rucki, now 17 and 16, respectively, disappeared on April 19, 2013 after...

Presidency claims that Buhari receivied $300k from Dasuki, says he collect 2 cars, not 5!

Image
Press statement from the Presidency...they admit the president collected one armoured SUV and one untreated SUV but deny he received three hundred thousand dollars. Read below... Our attention has been drawn to reports making the rounds, especially on internet-based media, that President Muhammadu Buhari received $300,000.00 and up to five armoured SUVs from the Office of the National Security Adviser in the aftermath of the attack on his convoy in Kaduna last year. We unequivocally deny that President Buhari received $300,000.00 or any monetary compensation whatsoever from the Jonathan Presidency or any of its officials, in the aftermath of that attack, or at any other time since then. While it is true that one armoured SUV and one untreated SUV were sent to the President in the aftermath of the attack, the vehicles were in keeping with his entitlements as a former Head of State under the Remuneration of Former Presidents and Heads of State (And other Ancillary Matters) Decree of ...

Buhari should hand over to Osinbajo if he cant solve Nigeria's problems- Fayose

Image
Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose has called on President Buhari to handover to Vice President Osinbajo if he does not have any clue to solving Nigeria's problems. He said this while signing the N67.04 billion 2016 appropriation bill of the state into law today December 15th “Enough of these flimsy excuses. President Buhari has to fulfill all his electoral promises to the people. If he has no clues to all these problems, he should hand over to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo or whoever and bow out honourably. What President Buhari promised us is change but what we have under this government is dwindling economy, low power generation, proposed subsidy removal, high level poverty and naira devaluation. For the president to have told Nigerians to brace up for more hardship in 2016 is the most callous of a man who promised Nigerians change.” the Cable quotes him as saying

Reuben Abati "Who released, killed and ate our lion?"

Image
Another very interesting and hilarious article by former presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati “Did they send you your own share of the bush meat?” “Bush meat?” “The lion in the zoo that became bush meat in Jos” “What’s my own inside? I don’t know any zoo worker in Jos and how could a lion that was allowed out of its cage and got shot end up in my stomach. The kind of things you say sometimes.”  “That means you have not been following the story.” “It is an animal tale”   “Created, concocted and delivered by animals in human skin, working in animal kingdom, telling us animal tales. What surprises me is the fact that there has been no public uproar, no outrage.”   “People are too busy thinking of how to survive as human beings, how to fight the current nationwide epidemic of empty pockets and stomachs, and survive the change in their lives.”   “But when a similar incident occurred at the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe, there was serious outrage all...
