MY MOTHER LEFT BEHIND LEGACY OF LOVE FOR GOD AND HUMANITY - UACC PRESIDENT REV. DR.J.B OWOYEMI

 

People came from far and near, dignitaries round the globe assemble at Ikere to bid farewell to late Mama Florence Wuraola Owoyemi and celebrate with the children of Mama for life and times of their Mother, who died at 86.


In a statement signed by the UACC Media Director, Paul Erakhifu, who was at Ikere for the burial.


Late Mama Florence Wuraola Owpyemi died on 12th August, 2024. She lived a fulfilled life as a devoted Christian. She did all she could to propage the gospel and the work of God. Mama, who was fondly called United, never held any position in the church, but that did not stop her from investing her resources to promote God's work and assist the needy in the church.


In 1965 she sang a song tilted ' United Kekere' meaning 'Small United' in that song she unknown prophesy the future of United Apostolic Church of Christ, that one day the church be famous, bigger and spread all over the world. This prophesy came to pass in her lifetime.

Though, late Mama Owoyemi didn't hold any position in the church but she became the mother of the President and General Overseer of UACC Worldwide, Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi. She is also blessed with glorious and well to do children; Deaconness Grace Funmilola Ogundeji, Mrs. Caroline Mopelola, Deacon Engr. Clement Owoyemi, Dr. Pastor Ademola Owoyemi, Dr. Deaconness Esther Ilori Ayeni, Mrs. Sarah Abiodun Aluko, Mary Adejoke Akinpelu She's blessed with grand and great grand children.

UACC President, Rev. J. B. Owoyemi said her mother contributed greatly to his success in life. He said, " Mama taught me how to read and understand. She also taught me to love everybody around me with the spirit of equity and fairness.


He further said he would uphold the legacy of love for God and humanity that Mama left behind. 


Rev Dr. Owoyemi appreciated dignitaries, friends, colleagues, families, and all UACC members who came from various states in Nigeria.


He thanked UACC Director of International Affairs, Rev. Mrs. Adesomi Adeola for coming all the way from the United Kingdom and Pastor Babalola Famuyide. CAC WOSEM from Italy.




UACC General Secretary, Rev. Joseph Eniola Oluwatuase at the Thanksgiving Service last Sunday, preached on "Love covers all sins." he stressed that couples, families, and church members should emulate and live together in oneness and love. He quoted 1 Peter 4:8 to explain further. 


Those in attendance include UACC Gen. Supt. Rev. Ogunlade, Gen Sec. Rev. Oluwatuase, Gen Evangelist, Prophet Alo, UACC Treasurer, Rev. Mrs. Olorunyomi, JP, Fin. Sec. Rev. Adeusi, Auditor General, Rev. Popoola, Sunday School Supt. Rev. Duyilemi, field Evangelist Oluremi Bright and other directors and their deputies, state superintends amongst others. 



The uacc mass choir was on the ground to render good lyrics and motivating gospel songs during the Christian wake / Service of Songs and Thanksgiving service.
